update on my dear Daddy
My Daddy's now with the angels. He passed away on Wednesday, May 20 at 5:17 p.m. May 17 is my wedding anniversary and is also my brother's! He had a military funeral (Navy) which was so very moving. His ashes were, get this, on row 5, position 17. He always had to get the last word in!
He was in a hospice home and it was a beautiful experience. He hated hospitals and when he was deemed terminal that's where he went. It's a four bedroom home and he had the best room with a huge window in front of his bed so that the could gaze out the sky. The staff nurtured us as well as the patients. He saw all those he cared for and we spent hours talking about everything under the sun. There are so many symbolic things that occur ed. At one point while he was sleeping, he kept reaching for the ceiling and talking about his beautiful garden. I could go on and on. My father was not a religious man but very spiritual. My last few days with him were the best ever. We made our peace and enjoyed our long talks.
Thank you for all of your prayers during this heart breaking time. Everyone tells me that it will get better. But now is my time to grieve and to try to remember his voice.
Grace,
Janet

Janet,
Prayers that God will wrap his arms around you and your family during this time. Take this time to grieve, and to rest. It will take time, but it does get better. My precious brother passed in Oct and I did not think I would ever find my joy again, but each day does get better. My mother is currently under hospice care at home and I feel blessed with the nursing staff that she has . Again, it's time for you to rest.
Your loved!
Lynnette
Oh, Janet, honey, I am so sorry for your loss, but so glad you got to spend some wonderful time with your dear daddy before he passed. It sounds like it was a real blessing for both of you.
Take the time you need to grieve and let the memories of your time together heal your heart. My prayers will be with you and Jim. I have been keeping you both in my prayers since we last spoke. I hope Jim's health is better. Let me know what I can do to help. Sending lot of love and even more prayers, my friend. Hugs and blessings.

Thank you, Charlene. Jim has two more chemo infusions. We'll then see what his oncologist says. We truly live from doctor visit to doctor visit. But the tumor has shrunk in size so for that I thank God.
I can feel the hugs, Charlene!
