May Motivation Sunday

How's your weekend eating going?  I know I ate too much yesterday at the wedding reception.  It could have been worse, though.  If I left off the choc. groom's cake it wouldn't have been too bad.  they had a buffet of what I would call heavy appetizers.  Lots of dips, spreads, antipasto platters, veggies, salmon mousse, teriyaki beef, cheese platter, etc.

Today's plan:
lots of liquids
at least 2 protein drinks
haven't thought out the rest...not a good choice!

I am not doing the 5day but I am using some of her recipes for things that I can eat that are BETTER choices

so today
work out
shake
beagel and cream cheese 1/2
pumpkin saug soup
no clue for snack
and dinner will be something with lots of veggies, grilled meat and fruit salad
shake for bedtime snack


so far so good - gotta do something bounced above my acepted high this morning - grrrrr so lots of protien and water for me today and I already worked out
Home is where the army allows me to live with my husband

I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail

Doing good overall - lost a little more and eeking closer to my goal weight!

Today:
B:  Banana
L:  Chicken Fajitas with lot's of veggies - homemade
S:  Bell Peppers
D:  Tilapia with veggies

That's the overall plan, but we have family coming over and we're cooking for everyone, so we'll see how it goes.

Good news is - lost another lb for the month, yea!!!

Started my 14 day plan yesterday and I'm down just over a pound this morning!!!  So it seems to be working.  Today I transition to liquids for the next 3 days then slowly add in solid protein.  Can't say I'm thrilled about doing liquids but I do enjoy seeing that scale move in the right direction!!!!   Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!!!!

I didn't stick to my plan but I still made good choices.  I had my usual protein drink for breakfast, lunch was 4 oz of chicken parmesan and 1/2 cup spaghetti, dinner was 3 slices of brisket and some crackers.  Snacks were fresh strawberries with a banana and later some watermelon.  Scale dropped down 1/2 lb.

Todays plan is breakfast: protein drink (done).  Lunch: ham/cheese/salami on mini crousaint with pretzel crisps.  Dinner: grilled pork chops and roasted new potatoes (since I didn't have it last night).  Brought fresh strawberries and a banana with me for snack.

Okay, yesterday SUCKED big time for me!!!!  Everything I put into my mouth was NOTHING on my planned day!!  LOL  The only thing I did was take my vitamins~ my water intake sucked, my food choices sucked, my whole day was wasted on empty calories and CARBS!!!  I did pay bad last night with GAS....carbs to that to me everytime, and then my blood sugars dropped!!!  

today we have a Shrimp boil to go to so I really would like to enjoy it, starts at 4:00, so I am planning my day like this

coffee, splenda and creamer
B~Protein Shake
L~Protein Shake
D~Shrimp boil stuff.....I figure there will be lots of yummy food, and I plan on tasting just a little bite of everything...LOL

Okay M, tell us how you really feel about yesterdat! LOL!! Your plan looks good for today1 We all have one of "those" days sometime! Didn't think about carbs causing gas.
I have that problem with too much splenda! Especially sf candy and goodies!! Ken says he can't believe something so big and ugly can come out of lil ol me!! LOL He really is kind to deal with it!!

LOL Maggie, I know right, when i was writing the post i said the same thing...LOL  you know I might have to look into the splenda thing; I only really have 2 packets a day...I do know when I eat all wrong I get really bad gas......trust me; the family runs when the "bombs" start dropping..LOL

I'm prayin for a better day!!!  getting ready to make my protein drink.....

Eating plan is staying on track! I have been up 3lbs but it finally went away this morning even after sodium binge yesterday! Just craving cu=runchy salty.80 oz fliud yesterday so that was good. Protein in and on my way to take my vits!

Yesterday was a day of cooking.  Finished the brisket in the oven (I know the men would die hearing that, but no grill or smoker, or man to think it's the best way!) .  Made a pot of lentils with some ham and onion.  Never made them before. Nothing to write home about but they have lots of protein so they are in the frig.  Also made my "reducing soup", a big batch of that and Emm says she's gonna eat it too so I have extra stuff to make another batch.  Got 4 cartons of awesome looking strawberries from wallyworld, a fresh pineapple and apples.  I am going to put together a huge fruit salad to eat thru the week.

Going to focus starting tomorrow on fruits and veggie soup, leaving the dairy and fat  and useless carbs behind to see how my body responds.   I still have not conquered the ability to have potatoes in the house and not eat them till they are gone.  I need potato therapy! 

I am positive about these changes and i do hope to stick with it. No promises but I am going to do my best!
