I'm on TV - Oh My!!!!

For those I've chatted with, thought you might like to see the feature being aired this weekend (starting today).   It's interesting to see what they picked and used for the interview part.  Sadly, they cut out some of the best material about WLS being a tool...

They cut out a lot of good stuff when I was on Big Medicine. Makes you wonder what they are looking for.

EXACTLY!!!  They definitely keep what they want and not necessarily the best stuff!

I watched it. Youve done great! My coworker did a TV commerical for her doctor talking about her weight loss. What bugged me was that at the beginning of the commercial, he talks about the lap band and then she does her testimonial but she had gastric bypass so the commercial made it seem like she had lap band. She had no control over the commerical over what they did in the commercial though. Kind of like your video.

I'll look at the clip when I get home. 

Right now I'm still tryng to act like I still care about my job.  Don't ever give more than 2 weeks notice.  It just aint right. 

Wow Lisa, I don't remember your preop picture.  You look fantastic, don't even look like the same person. 

It's unfortunate that the media does these things.......I wonder do they really want to know how positive WLS is or just act like they do.  It's a good clip but could of really spun it better.

I completely agree - they cut out all of the 1st interview where I talked about the surgery being a tool; that it doesn't chose what I put in my mouth, but rather help provide portion control - the rest is still up to me (ie; us) to make good choices every day that include eating right and exercise.

It was interesting to see what they did, but I wish they had pulled more of the interview in...  I also talked about people needing to do a lot research before choosing WLS and that this should NEVER be a 1st choice for anyone.  You have to try everything and get real with yourself before picking surgery as an option.

I was disappointed they cut all of that out....
