What's This "Virtual" Event Stuff ???

 I just noticed on OH's description of our much-anticipated Dallas event in September that it is being listed as a "virtual meeting".    What the heck does this mean?   Are we going to have to sit in front of a giant T.V. screen and watch video(s) of the speakers (or a live "broadcast") vs. having live speakers at the event as in the past?   

  If so, it won't be as much fun as having Bo do his grand entrance into the room and everyone join in his conga line to the music, or popping bubble wrap in unison for stress relief ...       But I guess it's a way for us TMBers to all still get together, and that's what really counts (right?)        

PAUL....just went to the event page.   It says NOTHING about being a virtual event.    It is still in the beginning planning stages anyway.    Besides it is worth going to.

PAUL-I agree with VIVIAN-I didn't see anything "virtual" either-maybe I was looking in the wrong place. PLEASE don't think I'm trying to ride your ass, but a post such as yours MIGHT make the difference in a "fence sitter" deciding whether or not to attend a conference-especially if they are new/scared and don't know anyone. I'm sure that is not your intention.

 Hmmm  it did have "virtual event" (or "virtual meeting") mentioned in the original initial listing, back when it also had the "are you interested in attending?" following it, where we were supposed to put our names if we would attend (I only saw one name on the list, b**** the time   ).  I thought that approach also "unusual", as though OH might not actually hold it unless there was enough interest actually shown.   

  OH has apparently revised the listing since, and it is now like the usual event listings (and no sign-up list).      Maybe Yvonne talked to the 'powers-that-be" and they straightened it out, so that it didn't look so "tentative" and therefore "scary" to newbies, as you mention, ladies.    

   In any event (no pun intended), full speed ahead to September!
