A glass half full

Ok, I'm seeing some of us struggling with food choices, and just life in general that isn't always up to par.  We all have a right to complain and feel bad about ourselves sometimes but to bring us all back into our positive thinking let's share a bit......

Name 3-5 things postive about yourself and your life......look at the glass as 1/2 full, not the negative 1/2 empty glass.  I'll start, keep it going, we all have something positive and to be thankful about ourselves and lives.

1)  hard worker
2)  good health
3)  great mom that will do anything I can for my kiddos
4)  awesome, supportive family
5)  provider for my family

Happy BirthdayTell my future daughter-in-law Happy Birthday, lol.

I'm glad you and Janet can help her sister, I know having a house full of kiddos isn't easy but she'll definitely be thankful and grateful for such wonderful family that can be there for her.

I cannot wait to hear all about your new job Sharyn.  You'll make a major impact on people's lives (I hope I punctuated that right, I had to google the apostrophe for people, didn't want Caro to correct me on this one with our latest grammar lesson).

Dana, I think this is the BEST idea ever!! It comes at the best time for me. I actually did something like this this morning with my trainer about my workout. I am so use to beating myself up before someone else can that even though I am working out-- I feel like it's NOT good enough. I've run 3 miles on the treadmill and did it in 43:11 and then again in 40:03 and my "negative" constant messages in my OWN head kept saying, "oh you could have done this, or if you had started out at the faster speed you would have beaten your time even more..." So, even the "success of doing it" it wasn't good enough, and when I should have been celebrating, I was beating myself up! We do circuits too which consist of 50 sets of the following this past Tuesday of 10 exercises and it was a total of "500" things-- did it in 33:11 and I beat myself up over that-- shouldn't have rested or taken the time to get some 'water' that would have taken off X amount of time.

So, when I work out with my trainer, literally, I have to tell myself that it's all in my head.... Today, we did a circuit and completed it in 26 minutes... But, instead of "beating" myself up... I celebrated 5 things...
1) I woke up early even though I could have slept in to workout
2) I finish the circuits regardless of time
3) I'm becoming 'healthy'
4) improving my self-esteem

For the purpose of the post--- These are my 3-5 and it is NOT going to be about "weight, WLS, or numbers"... It's going to be about the POSITIVES in life...

1) I have constant people who motivate me and keep pushing me to reach for the stars even if I doubt myself

2) I am working on becoming physically, mentally and emotionally healthy

3) I have a great job and great friends!

4) I have the BEST supporters online-- OH!!

5) I've recognized that I have things in my life that I am not proud of -- BUT-- I am working on improving it despite the pain and struggle!!

6) I am starting to celebrate the LITTLE things in life because they are ALL successes. (this is hard to do, but working on it)
