Hey everyone. I haven't posted on TMB in a while...just needed a break. In fact I haven't been online at all much lately. I'm going through a lot of crap physically--related, I believe, to hormones, perimenoapuse, etc...never feel good anymore & am trying to figure it all out without having to go on HRT. I've had hormone issues for years but it seems they are now escalating & I'm just flat out worn out. Lovely being 48. LOL
Anyway I just wanted to pop in & tell everyone hello. Love & miss you all & hope everyone is doing well.
Hugs & Love,
Jeri
Hey Missy Jeri,
Good to see your back. I can relate to the perimenopausal thing. I'm starting to go thru the same thing. Night sweats, than I'm freezing, starting to have a few face breakouts, I'm either in a good mood or wanting to take a pillow and smother hubby, and if my skin gets any drier I'm going to crack. I started increasing soy, my aunt said it worked for her.
Your loved!
Lynnette
Hey Ms. Jeri,
I saw you posted on FB that you had a doc's appointment. How did everything go? Were they able to give you some direction?
I have my semi-annual appt. with my doctore and the peri-meno thing will be on top of the list for discussion. Hate to think I am at that point, but I want to get a handle on it.
I am always looking for direction from others going through similar stuff and seeing what their doctors have to say. Want to get a handle on it before it gets out of control.
So spill it. LOL
Hugs.
Becky
forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could be any different
Unfortunately for me, my PCP is not great with this perimenopause stuff. My visit was a follow up about my ulcer and I didn't bring anything else up. Another thing I'm struggling with is my PMS being so much worse than it's ever been...her response last time I mentioned it was to take Midol. Ok she's awesome but obviously hasn't got a clue about PMS or perimenopause because that was a dumb response. LOL Midol helps with some things but not hormone issues...
I started on this path at age 37. Thought weight loss would help but NO...that's a myth that it has anything to do with weight at least not in my case. I would start with basics like giving your symptoms and asking about having hormone levels tested. I am learning that some drs just don't even think perimenopause exists so this would be a good place to start to feel your dr out on the topic.
