The NIGH****CHMAN 5/20

Good evening.  Wednesday is such a great day.  It means I only have one more night of work 'til the weekend.  I am ready to go home now.

The Rangers lost again.  Yuck.  Just have to hope the Mariners win tonight.

Not much else going on really.

Prayer requests are listed below.

I do ask that you keep me updated on requests.  Often.  Please.

Also, please feel free to just visit here.  Tell us about how your day went.  Your successes.  Your failures.  Your fun.  Whatever.  When I post this thread, I do not have access to any chat programs, so this sometimes substitute as that vessel for me.

Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness.  Please thank God for these men and women every day.  In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.

Three wonderful people - Ramon, Yvonne, and Debra - are having their conference in May (15-17) in Galveston.  Also, pray for Sean as he assists them.   Prayers for a successful weekend of paying it forward.

PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT:

James - Phyllis' "friend"
Jennifer
- (Cruise Director Julie)
Nina

Those who are not yet unemployed, but layoffs are looming

Anne -(Lalocaweta) - Please pray for her as she undergoes treatment for a medical problem she is facing.

Cindy Mc - a coworker has a 5 yr old son who was diagnosed at 3 with Metastatic Retinoblastoma.  He lost his right eye, but through chemo and radiation it was thought the cancer was gone.  It is back and spreading in his brain.
There is no cure and they are treating him with some oral Chemo medication right now. I am just asking that you pray for Isaac Xavuer Vasques-Grimmett. He is a precious little boy who has been through a whole lot of difficult times in his 5 short years. We are praying for a miracle but if we can't get that... For God's mercy and grace to keep this precious little boy and his family from suffering too much. Update:  Isaac is on his way to St Jude's to try something.  Please continiue prayers.

Dana - requests prayer for her family.

Debra - has been put on no work by doctor due to memory loss that is related to recent hospitalization.  Also, with the no work comes less pay.  Prayers for the financial side of the situation.

Gina J. - Pray for her 6 year old Marina, diagnosed with a terminal illness at age 2.
She has improved, but still needs our prayers.  Pray for this brave little girl.

Janet (1divaatheart) says her husband's tumor is shrinking (Praise God!).  She does need prayer for herself and her family, as her father has entered hospice care due to his cancer and her mother has been hospitalized for her Altheimerz.

Jodie requests prayer for Raymond who is having a cardio cath on 5/13 in the morning.

Karen (Misty750342002) - A friend of Karen's from work (who is like a son to her), Dustin Murphy, is 24 years old and has been diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease.

Prplecat asks prayer for her health battles as well as the family's move to Wichita Falls.

Vicki V.  - husband Patrick continues to have health problems.  Update on Patrick.  His most recent diagnosis from the neurologist is Ataxia and Neuropathy of the left side.  Which basically means he has virtually no feeling in his left leg and foot - probably the results of both a broken femur (more than 30 years ago) and his more recent heart and lung surgeries and the bed confinement from all of those.

Vanessa (Butterfly Reborn) - requests prayer for her family.  There were no specifics, but I am sure the Lord knows.

Vanessa - We have all followed the story of Elizabeth.  Here is her Caringbridge page:

Hi George;

Well, I was right and the Job Fair today was pretty much a waste. It was disheartening. I waited outside 2 hours just to register and get in. There wasn't a single job there that paid more than $13/hour. And I'm sure Lynnette and I could compare notes on what some people find acceptable to wear not only out but to apply for a job. I know it sounds judgmental and *****y, but I'm at a loss that I'm sharing a common bond with these people...

I got home after 1:30, ate lunch (I hadn't eaten breakfast, so I was *hungry*), and did all of my usual morning job search activities. I found 5 new opportunities - 3 in Dallas, 2 in Atlanta - so I applied for all of those. Then, since I didn't sleep well last night, I took a massive nearly 3 hour nap.

I just got a text from Lisa that she's headed down my way for karaoke, so I'm going to go meet up with her. I haven't seen her in a few weeks so it will be good to catch up.

I'll check in when I get back. Have a good night. Prayers for all who need them.
Blessings, Jennifer

If I were lying, wouldn't my pants be on fire?!?

I hear you regarding what people wear.  I do the hiring for my part time job.  This is a telemarketing job.  Guys come in with wife-beaters on and pants down on their hips.   And wonder why they can't get a job.

Another drama filled afternoon/evening in my house.  Want to go bury my head in sand or something.  I think I can handle the kiddos' drama, but hubby's, forget it.  I give up!!!

Hope everyone has a decent night!

Ok George and all of my wonderful prayer warriors.....
Isaac is home and they did many many tests on him and the results are...
His cancer has progressed too far to be eligible for the clinical trial.
They are home and Isaac is in the hospital here at Children's. He has tumors in his brain and also in his spine.
They are giving him steroids and they started his chemo today and he will be doing radiation twice a day to try to shrink the tumors in his spine. He has started losing weight and is a very sick little boy. His mother is trying to prepare herself for the worst but is praying and hoping for the best. Which at this point will have to be a miracle and we all know that those are still possible.

Thanks for all the prayers for Isaac and please include his mother Maria also.

Cindy,

I am so sad and so sorry to read this.

Isaac and all family and friends are in our prayers.

Because my best friend is battling Leukemia on behalf of her baby girl, Elizabeth Grace, I can imagine the devastation this news has brought and also how HOPE has to have a huge stay in all that has happened and will happens from this moment forward.

I'm so sorry.   :-(

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.
