Looking for Plastic Surgeon in Houston Med Center

I am narrowing down my selections for a plastic surgeon in the Houston Medical Center area.  Since it's about $100 for a consultation, I would like to find some highly recommended surgeons to check out first.  I have a consultation with Dr. Basu, and I am making one with Dr. LoMonaco.  I'd like one or two others to compare.  Suggestions anyone?

My Dr. daughter really like Camille Cash and she has seen her work at St Joe.  Dr Cash also works out of Univ General Hosp too!!

I consulted with Dr. Camile Cash that Terry mentioned.  I liked her allot but I was a self pay and she was the most expensive of the 3 surgeons I consulted with so I went with someone else.

If I had to do it again I would use Dr. Wainwright.  If time wasn't part of the equation last time he would of been my choice, I used Dr. Chaney in the 1960 area.  I liked him and he did a pretty good job, I'd do things differently if I did it again.

Do you know if  Dr. Cash is more expensive than Dr. LoManico?  I heard that Dr Wainwright doesn't do LBL and BL in the same surgery.  I definately want that both done, and possibly augmentation with the BL in one surgery.

I have no idea of the price, but I'd stick with Dr. L.

I didn't consult with Dr. L. so I can't be sure, but from what I've heard others say I think Dr. Cash is cheaper but not by much.  So IMO the best thing to do is to consult with both and see which one you are most comfortable with.  You have to be happy with your choice.

I agree, Dr. Wainwright wouldn't do a LBL and Breast Lift w/augmentation together for me either.  He would do the brachioplasty with the LBL.  His opinion is the lift and augmentation along with the LBL just doesn't give as good results because they are pulling both ways and it's harder to get the best results.

Hi, I just met Dr. Lomonaco in person at a Conference in Galveston and was very impressed. He gave alot of good information and was a very compassionate person in real life. Another friend had Dr. Cash  who also did a good job with breasts  and tummy tuck. She does the arms on the inside but Dr. Lomoaco does them with the scar on the back because he says to protect the brachial nerve that goes to the forearm runs along the inside of the arm. Scar wise I like Dr. Cash's work better but Dr. Lomonaco says to make sure you see after pictures of people with your skin tone because everyone scars differently. Also he says to make sure you get enough protein to heal properly. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Have to agree with Lynne, Sean and Jamie, Dr. LoMonaco would be my only choice.  He did my LBL and will do my inner thighs in January.  You need to go with who you feel most comfortable with though.  Do a consult with both and ask for references.  Look at before and afters, but do so on people who have had plastics done after WLS.  Our skin is stretched so our results may be different than someone else.  In my opinion, I wouldn't make a decision strictly on price.   Visit with the doctor, seek out references and go from there.  Good luck!!!
