PROTEIN SHAKES THAT TASTE GOOD.....???
SO.... I hate these protein shakes! My sister said I can sprinkle it with s/f jello powder for taste. I have not tried it. I am still searching for something tasty besides this crap I am drinking. It is from the surgeons website. I put it in the blender and added ice too, it still makes me so sick I take all day to drink it because I really want to throw it up. But I noticed I do not lose if I do not have my shake...odd? Can anyone recomend anything good and where to get it? Websites would be great too! Thanks everyone!
I like the Isopure dutch chocolate. It taste just like chocolate milk to me. I mix it up and put it in the freezer for about 45 minutes and its nice and cold. I cant drink a protein drink unless it is REALLY cold. You can get it at GNC, The one at the PX normally has it on sale.(I saw you were in Killeen and a army wife, I am too )

Super! Thanks! I wanted to try isopure and I was at th PX and the line was so long and, of course, my son decided to throw a fit, and I left. LOL. So I am going to go and buy some asap. I thnk it was $49? This site has it for $38 http://www.mysupplementstore.com/zecaisbynabe.html
My husband really like Muscle milk light chocolate, but I cant say if its good or not since I have never tried it. It does cost less than the Ispoure though, and the good thing about GNC is you can bring it back if you dont like it, with in a certain amount of time.
best bet is to buy it gnc or vit sHop FIRST b/c if you don't like it you can take back for credit/another flavor with in 7 days - you buy it on line you better like it b/c you are stuck with it - so yes it is cheaper but sometimes it bites you - I always try new stuff local THEN order it cheaper
I used to do isopure (powder only can not stand the RTD) now I am using chocolate EAS $32 for 6 pounds at costco
warning on isopure the last 1/8 of an inch or so is grainy my solution - toss the last 1/8 of an inch LOL
you can also try the nectors, mix them with Crystal light I love the peach mango made iwth orange CL right now
your tastes will change from time to time - I always encourage people to find one you can drink "naked" ie mix with water and go and THEN play with sf pudding, jellos, CL, frozen fruit etc b/c there will be days when you need to take a baggie with you and hit the drinking fountain for water to get it in
peace

Danni, have you used Caribean Cooler Nectars? If you do, what CL do you mix with it? I tried Orange and it was more drinkable than alone, but I still don't like it that much. I was going to take it to RYD with me but forgot it.....I got a sample of Bariatric Choice's Cranberry Grape and it was something I could handle, but it seems to me after buying all these big tubs that it's pretty expensive when you buy it by packs.

Optimum Nutrition Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream are my favorite. Some people like the fruity flavors better, I cannot stand them. There are several places you can order sample: www.bariatriceating.com and www.vitalady.com. I think Isopure samples can be bought on their website too. I've never tried the Isopure but many people like it.
Here is a site that has lots of recipes for various kinds......it is a matter of finding what you like. Somtimes, unfortunately it takes a while to find your shake. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/06/my-fa vorite-protein-shake-recipes.html

Hi, I like the Adkins Cafe'CaramelShakes. They are made with real coffee so loving McDonalds Ice Coffee in the morning this comes close. It has 15grm protein/1grm sugar and 2 carbs and 160 calories. I also use vanilla shakes and flavor them with DeVinci flavorings sugarfree I get in the coffee aisle at Walmart. They have hazelnut .caramel, raspberry and a couple others. I even make them with fruit flavored fiber with the raspberry. If you use enough ice it tastes like icecream. You can also buy the flavoringsd in the baking aisle to add to vanilla shakes to make tootsieroll with orange. chocolate or banana or pumpkin or applepie spice or peppermint. When things get boring CREATE.Also a good source of protein is Fage Greek yogurt from HEB. I use that with 2oz. leanground beef cook up a couple LBS and bag up in 2oz. portions and freeze, good to take to work with, salsa and w****cher cheese and yogurt as sour cream. Tastes like a taco without the shell. Also Mootopia milk from HEB has 12grms of protein (1c.) and is lactofree on my cereal and as ice coffee with Sanka and flavorings. My most invaluable investment has been my MAGIC BULLET Blender!. It is small comes with 2 blades and 4 cups with handles. It makes Great SHAKES! You can get it at Walgreen, Kohl and a similar version at Macy's. Good Luck! Miss Jean
