I wish I was going to be a little closer so I could watch your journey.  But this will be pretty close.  I can watch through pictures and your comments.  Just make sure that you hold yourself accountable, applaud your successes and when you have a failure...figure out what happened and resolve not to do it again.   It is what you make of it.  The biggest issue for me have been the stalls.  Stalls are a very natural and frustrating part of this journey.  You have read all the stories here with our ups and downs, trials and tribulations, frustrations and successes.  I read all the same things before I had surgery and believe me, for me, it has been a God send.  It has prepared me for all the things that have happened and I hope will happen.  I don't stress over the little things, just figure out what is happening and then go forward.  You just have to make sure that Pat keeps me in the loop right after you have surgery, to let me know how you are doing. (Then I'll be in San Antonio for a quick trip the weekend of the 12th of June for my great nephew's birthday.)  I'm really looking forward to following your journey. You've made the biggest step by joining this group, they are the best!!!

Hugs, Mari

Highest Weight:  249
Surgery Weight: 243
Last Week's Weight: Did not post but it was 193
Todays Weight: 190
Total Weight Loss: 59

I just got back from RYD in Galveston.  I learned alot.  I'll be picking up my Ostrim meat sticks this week, trying to get regular with support groups and will start Yoga (for overweight people) this week as well.

I'll also be working on my self image so I stop knocking the compliments my sweet hubby gives to me with what I don't like about me.  I'm so used to not liking anything that I have to really focus harder to actually say things I do like about me and accept compliments.  I never thought tht would be a struggle but MaryJo gave me some great ideas!

I just looked up the Ostrim and it looks like Vitamin Shoppe carries them - at least they were in their online store.  Were you going to order online or try to find them locally?  If you find them locally let me know where - the sample was really good!

I didn't know they had Ostrich meat in them until I looked them up.

I know Tracey picked up some for me at Vitamin Shoppe today.  Yeah, they have Ostrich meat in them.  Keeps the fat down I'm sure.  The sample was really good!!!  I'm so excited about getting my box of the sticks!!
