I'm so damned excited I can hardly see straight!!!

I can't wait to hear what your in-laws have to say about your new look.  Sally was asking about you today as well.  Am going to have to forward a recent pic of you to her.  She wouldn't believe how great you look!

Can't wait to see all you guys in July...am trying to work out a scenario wid da boss in regards to my trip to Htown in July.  I might get to be there more than just a weekend if I swing it just right.  THAT would be nice. Then I would have an opportunity to see all you guys and not be rushed like crazy.

Will keep ya posted.

Hugs, Mari

I think we have ALL been bouncing around the last couple of months.  We just have to get back on track and hold ourselves accountable. I know I haven't been, too durned much stress. But things are getting better and I am working at holding myself up to the standards set up by Dr Robert.  It's very hard and the stress and strain of the last few months has been overwhelming at times, but I'm getting there...I hope!  Fingers Crossed

I'm glad you started this post - I continue to drop, though it's very slow and some weeks see nothing...

Highest weight:  313
Sugrery weight:  290
Last Week's Weight:  159.0
Sunday's Weight:  159.0
TTL Weight Loss:  154

Lbs to Goal:  9  !!!!

So nice to be so close to goal - realized that just because I hit goal doesn't mean I'm done.  Guess I'm realizing I'll be done when my body say's it's done...

Also - OT, but I was asked to do an interview on camera for Channel 11 and I said yes.  They asked lot's of questions about my weight loss, reasons for doing it and would I recommend it for others.  I answered honestly and realize that some of my answers won't be popular (such as advising it's a tool and not a cure for obesity, in addition to making life-style changes to both diet and exercise).   So, it will be interesting to see what they use from the interview.   Tonight they are coming to film me working out....   It's kind of cool, but also scary.

Wish me luck :)

You are kidding?  An interview on TV?  I would be shaking in my boots.  I can't believe that you have come so far, you guys (who are farther out than us newbies) are such an inspiration to all of us.  Y'all set the standards that we strive to achieve.

You're awesome!

Lisa, you are such an inspiration to me!  I am a slow, steady turtle loser and it makes me happy to see someone as far out as you still dropping weight - whoop!

I think the interview is so COOL - congratulations!!!

I wanted to tell you since you are a fellow Aggie and would understand.......  I am now wearing my A&M ring every day and I haven't been able to wear it in 15 years.  I had it re-sized once after my first kid and never sized it up again after that.  It really means a lot to me to be able to wear it again!

Sara - thank you!    I'm a slow loser too and the good news is, it continues :)

A year ago, I felt discouraged and upset thinking I'd failed when I hit 1 year and was no where near my goals....  Just goes to show that our bodies will lose in their own good time.

As for the interview - it was interesting and they are filming me tonight working out.  I'm more nervous about that then I was at speaking on camera; don't ask me why :)

But, wish me luck!

As for rings I do get it and have had to re-size my wedding ring twice already and will need to re-size again before winter at this point.

Stay the course and it will come off!

You can do it Mari.  You have come so far since the first time I met you almost 2 yrs ago.  You and Pat were getting ready to go to San Antonio for a class I believe.  Now look at you.  Way to go girl.
You have been an inspiration for me to have this surgery done.   I haven't lost anymore weight since last week.  I walk my mile every other day on the treadmill and eat lots of protein and no sweets unless it is SF pudding made with skim milk.
I know it will happen once I have my surgery though.  I will start my 2 week diet on the 24th.  Mine won't be as bad as yours was though.  I get to eat all the way up to the day before my surgery then all liquids the day prior to surgery.
I could sit here and write a book on the feelings I am having now, but will spare you all that.  Just knowing there are people who went through the same things and had the same feelings helps sooooo much.
God bless support groups and friends.
