Any DFW Support Group Meetings Tomorrow?

Are any of the usual groups going to meet Sunday, for those of us that couldn't make it to the RYD event?

I really wand and need to do something WLS-related, but had to cancel the RYD trip at the last minute .. I worked straight through Wed.-early Friday a.m. w/o any sleep in order to be able to take time off for the 3-day weekend, and, as a result, ended up too sick and tired to make the long drvie down Friday.

My next meeting is June 7th. Not sure as of yet what my topic will be though. LOL Needs to be emotional eating. LOL I have done lots of that as my son's high school graduation approaches. I need to stop it NOW !!!!

What are your boy's plans for after graduation .. is he going to go to college? trade school? the military?

Nope.....You obviously haven't been reading the board. I am hosting the Spring Creek BBQ dinner tonight for those who aren't at RYD that want to come. It was Paul from Dallas's idea that I do that. I couldn't go due to my son's Choir banquet last night and his Prom tonight. He is going to UTA and wanting a career in Music. He wants to become a professional singer....but we will see. He is dynamite if I do say so myself and everyone that hears him sing tells him he needs to try out for American Idol. But he sings contempory Christian Music. That is where I am and what he plans to do right now.

Ooops, yep .. I hadn't seen the dinner thing, or your earlier posts .. mea culpa ..

That dinner would have been fun for me to go to, but I didn't read your post until now ..

I know when I was a pre-op, though, I was not happy with our SCBQ here in Mesquite, and vowed never to go to another one again .. I went there the first week they were open: skimpy portions and they charged for every little thing ordered (and our "bread girl" didn't bring her wares around until AFTER everyone was finishing up in the place

) ..

I remember the manager hollering out "did ya'll get anough to eat?" when we were leaving, and I just said "not really" ..

Oh well, the things we complained about as pre-ops that are no longer a source of "grief" for us after WLS ..
