May Motivation Friday

Okay folks...not too many "motivated" people yesterday.  Nobody is busier than me this week...I'm staying at work all day and then staying at the school until after 9, then up by 5-6 am and at it again!

I did fine yesterday...did have 2 little brownies.  I had 3 protein drinks, tamales w/ chili and cheese for lunch and 1 slice of a Walmart sub sandwich w/ 1/2 the bread, chips, and some trail mix and 1/2 **** cream.  I'm getting LOTS of exercise decorating...I was down another 1/2 lb. today for 3.5 for May so far.

Today's plan:
lots of liquids
2 protein drinks
unsure for lunch...gonna pick something up
pizza at school for dinner

This has been a good week as I've lost 3lbs!!!  However, this weekend is Galveston and I'm just not going to stress over food!!!  I'm going to do my best and make good choices but I want to enjoy myself as well!!!!  That is part of life!  I still can't believe that I'm only 25lbs from my goal weight!!!

Grazed all day yesterday but it was fruit and veggie. Well, and 4 sf choc chi cookies! The n dinner was 5 sm shrimp and 3 nachos. late snack, 3 more nachos! Oh and that sf russell stovers millionaire!!!
I'll do better today!!

I'm going to jump on board here, for a litle "confession time". I've just not been doing as well these past few weeks as should be doing. Part of it is my lack of a work/sleep schedule, but I can only use that as an EXCUSE for as long as I ALLOW it. I am going to use this weekend to get RECHARGED and REFOCUSED. These conferences-surrounded by people who "get" me- are always sooooooooo good for my psyche and motivation-I am especially motivated by the newbies.

I bought the book and workbook "The Beck Solution", at the recommendation of a therapist friend. It's about eating/thinking like a naturally thin person and possibly "finding that elusive void"-the one I've been feeding for 51 years. I decided to start it on Monday-I made the decision to start it then-not because its a MONDAY..lol...gotta kill THAT "diet mentality" but because I know I'll be feeling the "high" of the conference and will be more apt to really put my heart in it.

KARLA-thank you for keeping this thread going, for lurkers like me-you never know whom you're REALLY helping!!!

I'm starting the Beck Solution book this weekend or Monday at the latest.  I'm also doing the 5DPT, I don't want to hear any slack from anyone either.  Sorry I HAVE to do something for ME, it is ALL about ME anyway and the scale number has reforced my bad eating to the tune of 10 lbs.  Aint' happening damnit, it's NOW not later; time to get out of the it's "only" 10 lbs.....before it becomes 20, 30, 40.

I've also committed to become active in a Yahoo February 2005 board I use to participate in.  Some of the other ladies are there again, facing regain and realizing that the support, encouragement, teamwork, reinforcement, all around need for each other is paramount to getting back into following rules and making good choices. 

If anyone is interested in doing the 5DPT with me, let me know we can text, call, and post on the board for each other.
