Calling on all you wise people for advice
First off I am happy and proud to say I can shout this post from the roof tops. Some of my best peeps are able to post about their small single digit jeans. Me, I have never and will probably never be able to post about my single digit clothes. But, I have to stand up and admit I was a Dr Pepper drinking crack head before surgery.I did not drink the diet stuff. It was dublin Texas pure cane sugar. The real stuff. I would drink atleast 6 to 10 a day. I am 5 yrs and 5 months out exactly yesterday. I have not drank one single carbonated drink since the day before my surgery. I am soooo scared to start it back up. You can not tell a crackhead she can have on hit a day. You can not tell a alcoholic to have only one drink a day. If you do not have a issue with them, maybe you can drink one a week. I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ... So, I have not tested those waters and don't plan on it. Obviously you are a little nervous about it or you would not have asked us.. Good luck..You will make the right decicsion...
Smile, it increases your face value.
It's up to you whether to indulge, but if you are going to, the best way to drink it is as flat as possible (although it may not be quite as tasty) .. Pour into a big tall glass with a lot of ice, and then rapidly stir it with an iced tea spoon. The fizz will bubble to the top .. When it stops fizzing, repeat .. Do this several times until almost no fizz will come out, and it's ready to down .. (be sure to drink w/o a straw, as otherwise you will pull air in as you sip through the straw)
Another method is to just open it and let it sit for several hours .. I usually "crack" my 2 litre bottles when I first bring them home, so by the time I get to actually pouring from it the pop is already mostly de-carbonated.

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
