GEORGE-I understand where your heart is. I was already planning to attend EVERY speaker--rain or shine..but..."learning" will also take place from each other in OTHER places, as socialization..in the lobby, the elevators, the clothing exchange, the dinner, the pool, etc. I am SO hoping to meet some new people, as well as reconnecting with the people I already love. I also hope to come away "refreshed" and "re-energized' as I always do from conferences. Everyone gets something different out of these events. IMHO-they pay their money-they are adults-they can do as they please-what info they miss out on is their loss. No, I'm not particularly interested in hearing about lap bands, BUT, someday someone will have a question, and maybe I'll be able to lead them in the right direction from something I picked up, just cuz I listened a little.

Having rambled all that...been up for 26 hours now..I KNOW you can relate to THAT...I want everyone to have a good time in whatever they choose to do...it's about having a place to feel SAFE and ACCEPTED--something some peeps have never had before they hooked up with us...Hope that makes some sense!!
