the long road home...
I'll be traveling today to Harlingen to see my parents. My father was taken to a comfort home for hospice care on Monday. My brother and sister-in-law found a nursing home for my mother who has Alzheimer's. My parents are a mile from one another. But it's the longest mile ever. We don't think either one of them can handle a visit to see one another but the jury is still out.
So I'm going to see my father while I can. Please pray for my family. My brother, sister-in-law, her sisters and mother are worn out. I've never had the experience I'm having now so I'm living hour by hour. All this is in God's hands and my trust is with Him.
To those going to Galveston, have a great weekend full of those things you need. I'm there in spirit!
