Thanks so much Naomi. Trust me....if I can get this boy to sit still for a moment I will get him back to the doctor. He has to go and get blood drawn to see if they find something there also. Hopefully in the AM we will get that done. It is almost 8:45 PM and he has not come home from school yet. He is so active in everything it is difficult to get much done for him. Thanks and to me blood found anywhere is something to be concerned about.

VP, according to my Merck Manual, painless bleeding into the urine is nothing to mess around with .. it can signify very serious disorders of the kidney or bladder .. MAKE that kid get in to see a doctor for thorough testing and don't stop until they find out the cause ..

Thanks Paul...trust me.....he will get there as soon as he can. Hopefully tomorrow AM for blood to be drawn and checked out. They did do a X ray also on saturday of his bladder and kidneys and everything looked fine. Trust me....I am NOT a Mom that lets things go....but the senior yr is very very busy and he is in a musical that is going to be performed at Casa Mania in 10 days so they have practice all the time. Darn it that the docs office didn't have the lab open last saturday !!! Thanks for your concern and advice.

One thing that wasn't mentioned is that sometimes heavy exercise can make a person throw off red blood cells into the urine along with protein. If the test showed no infection and he didn't have the pain associated with a stone, this may be it. I am a retired Lab Technician and we frequently saw this in that age kid who exercised a lot. Be sure he pushes the water.

Thank you Carol for this. My doctor's nurse said yesterday AM to me that it is probably nothing but still needs to be checked out. They found no infection at all in the urine and trust me....it is nothing for my son to go and run 6 miles. He is very active and he said that thinking back he drank very little on that date. My doctor's nurse said this thing can happen if they are dehydrated. Still I am NOT taking it lightly. But trying to pin this kid down to go back to the doctor when he is a senior in high school and is extremely active in Choir, Show Choir, Theatre ( who is putting on a performance for Betty Buckley award in 8 days ) it is so hard to do. He feels fine and I keep prodding for him to go get blood drawn but he said he can't till he gets a chance. Parenting is very hard !!! LOL Thanks so much and trust me....when he ran out the door to school at 7:15 this AM I told him to grab some water bottles and take with him.

Thanks Becky.....I will take all the hugs and prayers that I can get. I did feel so much better after reading the reply from Carol. I truely feel like this is what has happened to him. He has felt totally normal since sunday. I think he just really exercises too much and didn't drink enough water....but still you know me well enough to know I won't just let this go till all the answers point that way. Love ya girl !!!! Hope you are having a better day today !!!
