On February 19, 2009 I weighed in at 466 lbs the surgeon suggested a 7 day liquid diet and on February 26, 2009 The day of the surgery I weighed in at 451 . Today May 10, 2009 I weighed 400 lbs. Is this a good rate or to slow, not to sure???? Maybe it’s my guilty conscious because my only exercise is grocery shopping or mowing the yard  . I am an advanced technical support agent for Dish Network and I sit on the phone all day .

for as much as you have to lose it is ok - "light weights" don't lose as fast as those of us with a LOT of weight to take off ( I was 425 at my high so not casting stones here)

you do need to get some exersize in - not only b/c it helps with the weight loss but now in your "honeymoon" it is easy to see progress - a year or two from now when you are close to goal you are going to be losing lots slower and then it is harder to SEE the changes - plus it WILL spead your weight loss and you have got to have some muscles under the fat - sorry but hauling around 200+ extra pounds I had thigh muscles of iron and only b/c I have keep up my work outs and wieghtlifting (with a break now and then for life) can I lift what I do and have the streanth I do in my legs now - b/c hauling around the extra 20-30 pounds I have left now is not doing a thing for muscle building :)

if your phone for work is not in your bedroom you have to move to get to work - add a little more movement - park farther away from the door, take ONE flight of stairs, walk to the farther bathroom when all tha****er you should be drinking is ready to go someplace else,

I remember being told to walk to my mail box and back 3 times a day right after surgery - now 3 yrs latter I am getting ready to do a 3 day 60 mile walk and have zero doughts about my ability to do it

You are doing ok. Just don't look at how much u loose it's when u can get into sizes that u haven't worn ever or in a very long time. But u do need to exercise a little more. Just walk around in Wal=mart or somewhere it is cool. Yes  when u go to the store park quiet away from the entrance and then walk to the door and that is some exercise for u.  U just keep up the good work. It will slow down pretty soon and  u will think that u are never gonna loose the weight but hey u will I promise.
Tomorrow nite we are having our Pasadena Support Group meeting. It is gonna be at Starbucks on Fairmont next to Payless or maybe at the bread place across the drive from Starbucks.  We would really like to see u. Look on line and Sean will be posting where it is gonna be. We just talk about things and u can ask questions and we just get to know each other. I have been a member since Feb 2006. I have lost 150lbs and I am so proud of myself.  So please try and come to our meeting..............................
