Who lives in...
College Station Medical Center.
Can't relocate. We own our home, Emily is settled in school and has too many friends she doesn't want to leave, etc., etc. To top it off, Janet's sister & twin boys just moved in with us this past weekend.
Life is complicated.
I have to let them know my decision by Friday. I have something cooking in Austin, but it doesn't look promising at this point. I think I could make the commute for a year. That would get me my sign-on bonus.
Your life is pretty complicated, too, isn't it??? Would someone crashing on the sofa occasionally make it even more so???

I absolutely LOVE the MED! THey have the best nurses there, one reason for you be there! !LOL I guess my life is pretty complicated, it always seems to be that way! My son also lives with us as well, so maybe the couch was not a great offer! LOL Hey, but Sherra lives here too now!

I remember that she moved there. But, maybe we could do lunch or something.
I am glad you like the MED, as they refer to themselves, LOL. Like I said, I was pretty impressed. I went to interview just to practice interviewing and they sold me on them. It's just that 80 mile grind I can't get passed.
If this thing in Austin doesn't pan out, I am accepting their offer. And will have no hesitation doing so, they impressed me that much.

Hi Sharyn,
CONGRATULATIONS on graduating !!!!!! WOO HOO!!!
I would move there in a New York minute if I could, but I am also stuck where I am at because of my kid. I know you aren't moving, but you will enjoy the town. It has grown a lot since I was a student there (1977-1981) but I absolutely loved being there even if I was always broke. I had lots of company in that dept !!!

I will probably have to take my Obama and GLBT bumper stickers off my car if I take the position.
It is bigger than I thought and I even saw some big ol' dykes in the convenience store I stopped at. So, it might not be so bad working there.

Nah - you won't have to take any bumper stickers off. It was/is pretty conservative overall, but it is still a University town and there are kids and adults from all over the world. I was so glad to get away from the narrow-minded high school I went to and be around people from all income levels and cultures.
My best friend went to A&M and she is a very liberal Democrat - who had stickers all over her car - she loved it there - even putting up w/ the idiot Cadets. So - you leave those stickers on your car....diversity is what this damn state needs.
Gina L. (as you saw) lives there...and she is wonderful.
Would your pay allow you to perhaps rent an efficiency "rat" hole?
