nuclar stress test.. too much??

My partner and I are having our surgery done by the same surgen. For me the surgon is willing to accept the stress test done in my PCP's office. But for my partner he is requiring a nuclar stress test. Is a nuclar stress test over doing it?

My stress test was just a cardio stress test with electro cardiograms done before the tread mill and after. Is the doc requiring a more reggorous test on my partner?  My partners test is supposed to take 3 hours. Mine only took like 30 or 45 minutes.

Just the opposite, for me the nuclear test was less stressful physically. I am so out of shape, I couldn't last long enough on the treadmill breathing wise to keep my heartrate at the rate long enough to test. So they put in an IV and gave me something that chemically raised my heart rate and kept it there. It wasn't bad at all.

So the Dr. probably feels you are in better shape and can handle the treadmill whereas your partner may not.
