RYD - May 15th weekend...
Yes, 4 years or more! I think that's very important and wise!
Also, I think consideration should be given to "complications."
Last time I checked, I'm still the complication Queen (though SOME PEOPLE ---- not saying who) are trying to be in competition with me lately! I don't like competition! I know that I speak from my own experience and fears. I've never seen a candid discussion on "complications." By "complications," I mean: peterson's hernia; bowel obstruction (partial or full); adhesions; peripheal neuropathy; anemia; vitamin deficiencies; revisions; reversals (yes, I said reversals); depression; life adjustments/relationships; and more!
I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side. The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

I promise i will try my very best NEVER to compete with your record! Although I am a revision and I do have hernias... but so far so good.
i think the other ideas of complications are good as well like the depression and life adjustment and relationships. I was just today dealing with that and posted on it.

forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could be any different
VANESSA-I have NO desire to fight you for the "Queen" title. If nothing else, I'd love to hear your story over coffee, or around the pool. You are a true inspiration. And as I say in my new fave words ...It ain't all fairy farts and rainbows!!!

- Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose. Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email. I'll answer it as soon as possible.
