I am also a patient of Dr. Boyce's. He is a great surgeon.I will be having a RNY to DS revision. I am in month5 of 6 month required medically supervised diet.If you go to the DS forum on here,you will find a wealth of information. PM me anytime you want.Best Wishes on your journey!

Topic: Smoky Mountain Obesity and WLS Support Group
The next meeting will be Monday October 16 at 6:30 at LeConte Medical Center in the classrooms. Our topic will be "Get a Life!" It's a take of preventing cross addiction which almost all of us are susceptible to. Hope to see you there.

I am not a Dr. Boyce DSer so i am not sure what he sells for vitamins - but let me tell you what I take daily - It's pretty easy to get everything in and my laps are pretty good
Morning - 50K IU Vitamin D (from vitalady), 25K Vitamin D, 2K Vitamin K, 4 Boiton, Coromega, calcium , Zinc
Lunch - 50 K Vitamin D (every other day), 25 K Vitamin A (every other day), Calcium , Zinc
afternoon - calcium
Dinner - calcium
The DS board has lots of people that know about vitamins - the DS is great you will love it.

I am having VSG around Dec 13th with Univ. of Tenn group....Dr. Matt Mancini.......I've heard Dr. Boyce's group is fantastic and many people love them so you will be in good hands ! I would have gone to Boyce's group but there was no way I can afford that program fee, no matter how they split it up !

hello everyone!!
how are you all doing? i went to see Dr. Boyce last week, he is wonderful i just fell in love with him with my first visit. i went to see him thinking i wanted the sleeve surgery however he believes the DS would be best for me as my BMI is 50. he has vitamins that we can buy at this office,, for DS we are to take 8 of these vitamins.. What other vitamins are you taking with his vitamins for the DS surgery?
i am trying to research this DS surgery as much as i can as i just started looking into this. thanks so much for your help

Topic: Need help with sodium
Had gastric bypass 2 and half years ago . lost 157 lbs doing good until blood pressure went way down and was put in hospital twice for being dehydrated. For some crazy reason my body will not hold fluid.The doctor put me on meds to help with this problem but they are just not working.I drink and go straight to the bathroom.when ever I get a sinus infection like I had this week I go into dehydration and blood pressure fall even lower. normal blood pressure for me is about 97 over 67. on Wednesday when my son took me to the doctors office my blood pressure was 89 over 62 I just knew we were on our way back to the hospital. lucky for me I was not quite dehydrated yet and was able to get myself back.if any one has any ideas please let me know.

Seriously, not only did he do my RNY but did my gallbladder removal 9 months out and hernia repair 14 months out. You will be amazed at his bedside manner.
I have nothing but positive things to say about the entire staff. A lot of people complain about the $300 program fee but let me assure you, it is well worth it. Dr. Boyce is well known for his surgical expertise in both general surgery and bariatrics - you will not be disappointed! Call 694-9676 and sign up for a seminar!
