I haven't posted in a long time but had to post that I made it to ONEDERLAND!!! It has been a year and 3 months and I have lost 147 lbs. It took me MONTHS to get off this plateau. I have pics of before and after but can't get them to post.  I will try again. ~ shell

Your doctor can just put down that you are having abdominal surgery. That will take care of any lifting restriction you may need for work.

You just get your doctor to write a note that you are under his care.  Give a start date and a return to work date.  That's all they need to know.  If they can identify the doctor as a weight loss surgeon, talk to him about how you can still get a doctor's note from another doctor... Perhaps your primary care physician.

I don't want to tell my employer that I am having weight loss surgery but I'm going to need to be off for a week.  What kind of surgery could I tell them that I am having?  How should I word it?

I am two weeks out and doing great.  I am approximately 20 lbs down from by pre-op weight.

I originally started out at 26/28 bottom and a 26 top.  As of today, I can get into a 22/24 bottom and a 18/20 top.  It is truly amazing to get into smaller clothes.  It is also amazing to be able to say that I will never see 300 lbs again and I will never be in a size 26 again.

I was unable to get the pictures to load within this message so I put them under photos under my profile.  Check them out and let me know if you can see a difference.

Thanks again for all the prayers and support.
