Topic: RE: LapBand revisions?
Thanks everyone!  I had my revision done on 12/15.  I had a RNY.  I would have liked the DS, but I don't think my BMI was high enough.  As it is, I'm adjusting to the gastric bypass and having severe nausea.  I'm told that will pass.  I am so happy to have the band gone, though. I was so tired of throwing up everything!

Good luck to everyone in their journey.  I just started a new one!

Topic: Invitation to participate in an online study regarding physical activity

I'm posting this for a student, Monica O’Rourke, a Ph.D. student at Middle Tennessee State
University. Neither I nor Centennial are involved in this study in any way, we will not have access to the results or have any knowledge of who does or does not complete the study.

She invites you to take part in her dissertation research study for my Ph.D. degree. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/cto_activity_survey

This is an online survey on SurveyMonkey.com regarding your current attitude about physical activity and your middle and high school physical education experiences.  This study is an important one that will help health educators better understand what adults’
secondary school physical education experiences were like, their current
attitudes about physical activity, and whether physical education met their
needs.

SurveyMonkey is a trusted survey site that many companies and universities
use to conduct research.  Your answers and e-mail are *completely
confidential and responses are anonymous and cannot be traced to any
specific person. *Therefore, I encourage you to be very candid in your
responses.  It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.  Would you
please participate?

Here's the link to the survey.
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/cto_activity_survey If you have the time,
please complete the survey now.  Yet, I know it is the holiday season so the
last day to complete the survey is January 10.

Thank you for your time and consideration. It is only with the generous help
of people like you that my research can be successful.  I encourage you
share the survey link with friends and family that may want to participate.
If you have any questions, feel free to call or e-mail me.  Thank you in
advance.

Respectfully,

Monica O'Rourke, Ph.D.
student

Does anyone know a good PCP that is good with WLS patients in the Murfreesboro area?  I really need to find one since I moved here back in July and still don't have one..eecckk.  It is too difficult to go back to Chattanooga any time I need to see my Dr (where I moved from).

Topic: Back Again, I missed ya'll.....
Hi guys,
I'm back, its been a couple of years and I have certainly let myself go. Now I'm back ready to live my life for me and no one else. I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of things. And for those who don't know me.
I'm Ashlea, the daughter of BarbieJ. I'm 27 and live in Middle TN. I've been obese for most of my life and its always been a struggle. I'm turning over a new leaf. My mom had RNY, I do not qualify for surgery, I am currently not working, therefore do not have insurance. I'm trying to lose my weight on my own. I know its going to be hard but I'm willing to make the sacrifice....
Love ya'll <3

I believe all the men will be watching football on New Year's Day. The men's group will resume their meetings on the first Saturday of the month at 10 AM at Centennial Center for the Treatment of Obesity.

Happy New Year!
