Wow, I was so pleased to finally get logged back onto this site and hear that all is going well for you and that you got to have surgery this January. This is former Kelligirl who had surgery back in October 2004. My pc got a virus in October and then we had to move back to my hometown, as I found out in November that I have Multiple Sclerosis, hence the problem with blurring vision and the headaches which used to plague me almost daily. How is your leukemia doing? I really missed being around this board to read everyone's post. As for my situation, I haven't really lost more than another 10lbs since my neck surgery last June. Dealing with the pain after they took the disc out of my neck coupled, loss of vision in my right eye the day after Thanksgiving, ambulation problems, and depression related to the Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis made exercising not very high on my list. I haven't worked since the vision loss as my job required that I read tons and tons of medical records every day. I am waiting for Social Security to approve disability as my new neurologist states I will be disabled the rest of my life. It's been 4.5 months since I made a claim for disability and I'm hoping for a decision soon. I am now 203 pounds, down from 383 highest weight and 363.5 the day before my GBS. I finally got into a pair of Misses size 14 jeans yesterday and think if not for the excess flesh on my abdomen, I would wear a size 12. I'm going to sign off for now, just wanted to let you know how delighted I was for you. Also, hello to any other memebers who I might know. Kelly

Hi Kelly, talk about a heart stopper. LOL Yeah I finally got it on Jan 9. It's been a long hard road but God has been there every step of the way. My leukemia blood count stays in normal. my sugar stays around 98, my blood pressure has gone up twice in the last two weeks, but I haven't had to go back on my high blood pressure meds. I have a potassium problem, it keeps dropping too low, that's from the chemo pills, so that is now being taken care of. I have gone from 277.5 to 209, from 3x to size 18-20 in pants and shorts, and a size 22 in tops. I am walking can you believe that? I love my new life. God has been good to me. There are some wonderful friends on this board, and you weren't forgotten by me. I think I am the last of the group from 2 years ago. I did find out on Tuesday that I have a blood clot in a surface vein, so I can't work out with lifting weights with my legs, but that's ok, now I am trying to work on the saddle bags. I even signed up for online dating and have met someone real nice. As for you, girl I am sorry to hear you have MS, and with eye problems to add to that. What is being done? I know there's no cure for either of us, but we have God there helping us deal with these problems. Some day they find a cure, so there's always hope. About the neck, what does the Dr. say about the pain still? I would still get back into working out, it's an outlet and it will keep you from gaining it all back on. Well now all of it, but some. It's also good because of the MS. I'm just sorry to hear that after what you went thru to have this surgery that you now have this plus not seeing in one eye. Where are you living at now? You must send me your new address and phone number, to my private email. I want to have some new pics done so when I have that I'll send you one. You take care of yourself, with love Kathy

Sucks to have MS doesnt it? I was diagnosed exactly one year ago this month. The ride is hard and tiring. I totally understand about your depression and lack of mobility. God bless you and never give up! I'm around here alot if you ever want to talk about your MS.

Miss Me, sure does but I guess its better than the alternative of pushing up daisys from 6 feet below. Are you on any of the drugs given for MS? I take Copaxone every night and except for one severe reaction have done fine on it. Kelly
