Weight update on the clown....

I took a water pill today to get rid of the excess fluid that the chemo causes and from all the saline/potassium fluids. I hadn't taken any all week and was swelling from the fluid retention from the chemo. I dropped another 5 pounds since I was weighed on Thursday. That's a total of 68 lbs. I see my surgeon on Thursday for my 3 month weigh in. Oh happy day. I love it, Kathy 283/269/215/130 (goal)

Hi Maria, your time for losing major is coming up real quick. I am finding out that I can now get into some things that are xl, or 20-22 size. A shirt I wore in 2002 when I got to hold my first grandson when he was a month old, it came to my hips, now it comes to my knees. It's truly a great ego booster. Just follow your Dr.'s rules, and your nutrionist and you will wake up every morning and really notice the pounds melting off you. I love looking at my body now after a shower. It's a real high. Yes Mikki, it's wonderful being a great loser. There are so many things I can do now that I couldn't do before. Like go shopping without having to try on the clothes first. Sit closer to the steering wheel without my stomach in the way. To be able to stand while washing dishes. The list goes on. You will also lose in your feet, I've gone from a 10 to a 9 now. It's an exciting time in my life. I am loving each day as if it were my last. God has been good to me. Love Kathy

Thank you April. I know you will enjoy looking into a mirror in about 6 weeks and really start seeing the pounds melting away. It's a natural high, a real ego booster. I always hated looking in a mirror, and would sit in a chair just to dry my hair. Now I love looking at myself after a shower. It's so exciting. I can now get into xl, 20-22 sizes from 26/28 or 3x. Hi Kathy, I am so happy for you. It must be so exciting to see the pounds come off. I don't think that people realize ( those who have never had weight problems ) everything that being obese can do to your physical self, and just as much to your mental health and self esteem.
