Hi Maria are you still on liquids or now on soft foods? Liquids would still be broth, sf jello, maybe some apple juice. On Soft, one scrambled egg. I have heard some add just a little bit of cottage cheese with their egg and it makes it more like a omelet. You don't want to eat anything that will mess up the stomach as it's still healing and that will take time to be healed enough to handle other foods. I can now handle oatmeal, or a small bowl of cereal. But with the ulcer, I am sticking to soft foods, and when I reach a plateau of not losing, then I go back on liquids for a few days. I can eat about 1/2 of an egg waffle with sf syrup. No marg. on it, when my tummy burns and I'm nauseated, I'll eat half a piece of dry toast. For you, there's yogart, one egg, cottage cheese, anything that has protein in it. Other's may be able to give you some more ideas. I just know what I was on my second week out, (I was back in the hospital during that time) and it was always a scrambled egg and apple sauce in the mornings. You'll be on this diet for at least till your third month or until your nutrionist says otherwise. Best of luck, Kathy

For me it was, and still is, a protein smoothy. I can mix it up and take it out the door with me to drink on my way to work. I mix a serving of frozen fruit, 1 cup water or other liquid, 1-2 scoops protein powder and sometimes a 4 oz container SF FF yogurt. Whirl it all in the blender and I'm good to go. I also like to mix peanut butter with chocolate protein powder. For this one I reduce the water to 1/2 cup and add about a cup of ice before blending. I've also had cottage cheese, scrambled egg (I've never been able to eat a whole one), oatmeal with peanut butter, SF FF yogurt, and grits with shredded cheese. Experiment a little. There is no law saying you have to have "Breakfast food" for breakfast. You can have whatever suits your fancy at any time of the day as long as you make sure it is the kind of healthy food you need and you pay attention to your portion size.
