Where are you? You haven't been posting lately, have you heard anything yet regarding your surgery date? I would have liked to have met you and your wife while I was a patient last week at Blount. I think after 4 times of having to be readmitted to Blount that when you have your surgery, I'll most likely be in there again. I think they are putting my name on a revolving door.
I have my three month weight-in on the 16th. I can't wait, I know I have lost a lot, not just weight, but in inches too. I can't wait for you to get your date. I need to dust off my angel wings. Keep posting, later, Kathy

Hi Kathy and all the rest of you, my friends;
I'm still around in the shadows. I haven't been posting anything, since not much has changed with the Medicare and WLS status. I became so disheartened when I got my date canceled, I tried to distance myself from WLS for a while.
DR. Colqiutt had ask me to lose 15 lbs for surgery last Febuary, so I went on a very restrictive low calorie, low carb, low sugar diet and I joined over at the Wellness Center. I have been religiously working out 5 to 6 days a week, 2 hrs a day. This has been the focus of my life now for 8 weeks and I'm proud to say I have now lost 43 lbs. and lost 6 inches in my waist. I'm not going to let go of the dream I have to lose this weight, with or with out WLS. I couldn't just set here and wait on Medicare. I was slowly dieing.
I'm suplimenting my diet with mega vitamins, protien, and omega 3's. Right now I feel great. I went off my Sugar Meds 2 weeks ago. I have had normal sugar levels each morning since.
I'm not one to just lie down and roll over so I thought I'd make good use of this time of waiting. So far it has been going very well.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, please continue to send them my way.
Ron
