Chicken vs. Hamburger

If you live near a large grocery store like Krogers, they sell ground up chicken. I use it for meatloaf, chilli, burgers. Anything you can use hamburger in you can use groud chicken. I'm not fond of ground turkey, and it doesn't make good burgers unless you fry them. Food lion or Food City may also carry it. Less fat, and you can't tell the difference in taste. The store must have 2 meat grinders in order to have ground chicken. Try it, it's great tasting. Love y'all so much, Kathy

I love ground turkey..never tried ground chicken though. I'll have to give it a shot. My surgeon doesn't want us to have any type of red meat for 6 months after surgery.. so I'll probably be living off of chicken... no big deal though. I'm not much of a red meat eater. Have a great day Kathy!

I can't have beef or pork for 6-9 months after surgery. I love chicken, so I am willing to pay 2.99 a lb and if I have to drive an hour to a Krogers in Knoxville, so be it. Just called and checked on my sons. One lives near the Airport in Nashville, the other lives one hour north of Nashville. The tornedos have really made a mess over there near my son who lives north of Nashville. We're on a watch here until 11pm. It can take anything it wants of mine if we are hit, just leave my van alone. Can't afford a new one. Being surrounded with mountains, they just bounce off each other until it wears itself down. The only time I had an beef was just before I went into the hospital last week, I was constipated. LOL Love ya, Kathy PS: can't believe your day is almost here. Have someone keep us posted or give me a number and I'll call and check on you and post the board on how things are going. I don't mind a bit.
