coffee anyone?
Hello Maria,
This was posted on my surgeons suppot group site. I hope I don't get in trouble for posting it here. It sounded very good to me & I hope it will give you some ideas.
Sara.
here is a sugar free cappunaino drink mix if you want to try it.
mix in a bowl stir good and store in air tight container
1 1/2 cup of Splenda
1 1/3 cup of French Vannilla Sugar Free Powder Coffee Creamer
This you can find at Walmart in a small green container
The entire jar is a little bit more than 1 1/3 cup but go ahead
and use it all. At Ingles i did see some hazelnut and ammerato
probably not spelling this stuff right but the spelling won't affect
the taste at all .
2/3 cup of Instant Dry Milk
2/3 cup of Instant Coffee * your choice and reg or decaf will be fine.
After you mix it all up , enjoy the aroma and then you add
4 TBS of mix to 1 cup of Ho****er.

I have a fully leaded Cappuccino every morning! Hubby and I have our own machine at home and it is the only coffee I drink. Starbucks Espresso Roast or Italian Roast, grind my own beans. I gotta have my good cup of coffee to start my day.
Before surgery, I had asked my surgeon if it would be okay to have a small (european size = 1/2 cup) of coffee and if so how long I would have to wait after surgery. His response was "Did I tell you you couldn't have coffee? You can have the whole cup!" Woo Hoo!!! I was a happy camper. He just told me to make sure I take my Pepcid as prescribed.
I did have to use Lactaid for the first few weeks because regular milk (even skim) didn't agree with my innards. Now I'm back to using regular skim milk and not having a problem.
