Back in the hospital again......

Hi my friends, here's the latest update. As long as I am on the IV with potassium/saline, I am not constantly ing everything up including fluids and pills. Take me off, my kidneys won't function right, and all I do is everything back up. Dr. Colquitt already has me admitted back into Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville. I will be there until he can figure out what is causing the problem. My room # is 560, and in a prior email regarding "Back in the Hospital again" has my cell number, just call after 7 pm. April, call me, and I'll give you updates. Ok, and whenever I get out, I'll post all the missed issues of the Today's Quotes. Love each of you, Kathy

Thanks Rachael, this will be my 6th time in 11 weeks that I have had to be readmitted. That's not counting how many times I have had to go to the ER and be given potassium by IV just to get me stablized. They get my potasssium up to normal, send me home and then the problem starts all over. In and out of the hospital, hooked to IV's in my home, or plan on throwing everything up. Kidneys are working properly, I think that a stone or two may be blocking the kidneys and they can't pass. But he's going to keep me and have tests run to find out what is going on. Kathy, I am sorry to hear that you were back in the hositpal . I hope everything is find with you. If you think you might have kidney stones they can do a x-ray to see. I had kidney stones that passed several times in the past. I can tell you what to look for if that is what you think, is what is happening with you. I hope that you are feeling better. Kathy - you hang in there girl. I'm sure the docs will figure this out and you'll get some relief. I was just in the hospital myself. My gallbladder went belly up and had to be removed. My surgeon said it was chock full of stones. Anyway, that had caused pancriatitis so I was put in Thursday on IV antibiotics and they removed my gallbladder yesterday. I'm glad to be back home though. We'll keep you in our prayers. Toni

Kathy I am so sorry to hear that you are having such a time with everything. I am glad to see that you are in good spirits though for having to deal with all of this. I will keep you in my prayers!
