looking for doctor ... Maryville, Madisonville, Loudon, etc...

I am definately eligible for WLS based on weight, bmi & health issues. However, the doctors office I go to does not support the WLS and will not refer to surgeons or help to get approved. I'm looking for a doctors office that supports the surgery. Please let me know the name of doctors that you have used that are supportive. i have BCBS insurance so I'm HOPING I can get approved. I can't help you regarding a PCP as mine is in Morristown. But I can recommend Dr. Colquitt/Ray in Maryville as the best surgeons in this area. I have Dr.Colquitt do my gastric bypass on Jan. 9 and even though I have potassium problems, and on chemo, he has always been there for me. In fact I'll be in Blount Memorial tonight to find out how come by potassium keeps bottoming out. I wish you all the best. Check with St. mary's hospital, Summit Medical Group in Knoxvillle. I had Dr. Ochoa for a while and he's good, but I don't know what he things regarding the surgery. Good luck, always here, kathy
