Please, Help...Does anyone know these Doctors?

Dear friends, I have a problem with deciding which of these doctors to go to for my psyche evaluation. I was hoping my friends here willme with these doctors and their psyche evaluation. These are the Doctors: Nancy L. Lanthron,Ph.D David Cantor Tedd Stephens These doctors are from the Surgical Group of Johnson City. If someone has had these doctors or just one of them...Please tell me what they are like? Do they treat the client with kindness or will they fail the client. Because they are against gasstric bypass surgery? What are their psyche evaluation like too? Please me with this problem Any you ,my friends can give me I will be very much thankful for.. Tina, Hi my name is Jill Luster and I am 14 days post op! I too used the Surgical Group of JC..Dr. Tedd Stephens did my evaluation...he is a very nice man..didn't make me feel rushed...was very nice and encouraging and supportive...I also had a friend who used him and was very happy with his services! Dear Jill Luster, Thank you for your Doctor's name and that he was a good Doctor with good manners on how to treat the patient. It really does matter when you go to a doctor these days. I have to choose from a few others but I will keep Dr.Tedd Stephens in my top list of good doctors to choose from. It only rate about now a total number of three to choose from so far. Tina, Since you live in Knox. Why don't you use a local Dr.? I used the one at Alternative Counseling Center. They are on Essery Rd. in Fountain City. Do you just want to use the ones in Johnson City? I was looking for anything to save on my gas bill, so using the one in Knox. was a very good option for me. Her name is Mary Barker & they do accept BlueCare/Medicade. Best of luck to you. Sara.

Dear Sara, I had trouble with my Bluecare/Medcaid when trying to get a dietion up here. They would not pay for it. So I had to used the one in Johnson City.That they did cover. If I used the doctor in Fountain City will my insurance cover it. And What is the evaluation like also? I am wondering so that I know what I am up against. It never hurt to be ready for anything. Tina, Dr. Cantor did my evalution. I basically went looking on line for a Dr close by who could get me in quickly. He Did! He was very nice and friendly but professional. He isn't a tiny man so I felt very comfortable talking with him, I felt like he could really understand the weight issue. He ask me about what I had tried in the past, about my support at home and work, and if I was ready to make the necessary changes. He did approved me that day and said his only problem is no comes back to let him know how much weight they have lost. I keep saying I'm going to do that but keep putting it off. My surgery was 12/27/04, I have lost 87 lbs (from 226 to 139). I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have had zero complications thanks to the good Lord above and a very skilled and caring surgeon, Dr. Albert Spaw, who I would recommend to everyone. Hope this helps some, I remember when I was trying to get all of my stuff together for surgery and I appreciated any and all the help I could get. Good Luck, Rita

Tina, I have BlueCare/Medicade & they covered it for me, no questions. You can always ask just to make sure. The phone # is..... 865-687-8990. I haven't had my surgery yet. I was just at the surgeons office for my 2nd consult the 22nd. I am waiting now for approval. Dr. Hodge said it took anywhere from 3 to 30 day's. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Tina, My Bad!!! I am sorry I forgot one of your questions. The Dr. spoke with me for a few min's & then I took a test. I would say be prepared for a couple hour's with the talk & then the test. Ms. Barker allows you to bring something to drink in with you, so this helps. She is a very pleasent lady & I felt completely comfortable with her. She also told me before I left if she was going to pass me. She did, & here I am just a month or less from my surgery. Pending approval of course. Sara.
