Does anyone know if being on steriods will slow down me getting a surg date ??

In the middle of all this crazyness of trying to get my approval it looks like I have another retinal leak. I go to my retinologist first thing in the morning . If he put me on a round of high dose steroides will it hold up me haveing surg?? I need to wiegh all the pros and cons of going through another round of what could be a drug with high side effects and maybe very little help we kinda use it now as a long shot . Laura

Hi Laura, I can't answer that question, that's a question to put to your surgeon. Like my being on chemo, I was still able to have the surgery, but I have paid for it in more ways then one. I don't see how that should affect you having the surgery. I wish I could help you out more. You're in my thoughts and prayers. you kathy

Kathy thanks !! I will let you know what I find out tomarrow after I see my eye dr . This is just plain crappy .. I am not so much depressed as just exausted from going trough this . I gave up the muth of never haveing another leak a long time ago ..timeing is really a killer this time .Doug and I are suposed to go out of Town the end of this week,, the first time alone with out kids in 6 yrs .. OK I will quit whineing now thanks for the ear and the shoulder Laura
