Hey All, Well I'm practically pulling my hair out over here!!! Ok so I finished the six month diet, and then I got sent it to check my iron levels. The nurse called last week and told me that my iron was in normal range ( yippie!!! ) and that now all that has to happen is Dr. Hadi look over my file and write me out a clearance for surgery. That's all great, and I have my appt. with Christian Ketal, at the surgery center this Monday. Now my last worry is this letter from my PCP stating my medical ness. for surgery. I had an office visit with her on the 14th of Feb, and within the last two weeks I have been calling over at Vanderbilt Internal Med. trying to check up on it. I'm getting no where, half the time the message are left in her box, unreturned, according to the receptionits ( which by the way are not very nice about this ) what else can I do!!!??? This is the last thing I need before I can have this submitted to insurance and she told me that it would be no problem!!! Thanks for any advice. Luv, Jacqueline

Hi sweetie, keep calling, then call the office and let them know you will be coming by to pick up your letter of necessity from you Dr. in Two days. That puts pressure on the Dr. to do her job. Let me know how it works out. Best of luck, to you. Kathy

Thanks Kathy, I will try that. I've already let them know that I have to have this before my appt. on the 20th, but I will try the picking it up tactic. I hope your doing well with your recovery, I've kept you in my prayers!!! Jacqueline

Yeah Jacqueline, I had to stay onto my PCP's office for the letter of medical necessity. It took them 2 weeks to get it to my surgeon's office. I was completely stressed out about it too. Glad to hear your iron levels are good. April
