So I got on the and then on the phone and I am now starting over with Centennial Center for the treatment of Obesity. They can and do take medicre /medicaid and are being wonderful about helping me get my records switched over . I have been in tears this morning and now back to hopful . I just keep telling myself things happen in there own time . Laura

I'm sorry to hear about your situation Laura, but at least you have some good news. I'm having surgery at Centennial on April 11th. They are a great group of people there. Everything happens for a reason. Perhaps you were meant to have surgery at Centennial Good luck! April

Hi Laura: Glad for your good news!! I am so envious of you. Just be grateful you could find a Center of Excellance near you. Medicare has really created a real hardship on a lot of us. There's not a Center of Excellance, that takes Medicare, with in 200 miles of me. Really the nearest one is down near you. I had a surgery date set for next week but it was canceled when Medicare mudded the waters for everyone. Looks like I will have to wait till my Surgeon gets approved. Best wishes for you and my prayers will be with you for a speedy recovery with great success!! Ron

Ron trust me I feel your pain I was in tears when I got off the phone with Baptist. This is just such a crazy situation that medicare has put us all in but then after dealing with disability for 11yrs nothing suprises me .. they have tried sending me to an opthomologist for an eye exam for Retinal blindness I am like umm where IS the eye chart ??? After aletter from my retinologist they have not tried that again Hugs I hope you find an answer soon Laura

That's right Laura, things happen in their own time. You keep believing that and everything will work in your favor. You're tough, you've managed to get this far. Good things are coming your way. Love ya, Kathy

Hang in there - Centennial has a good program, especially the after care. There are people who have gone through years of just trying to get approved and find a doctor to do their surgery. I'll put you on the prayer list.
