My next appointment.
Hello all! Just wanted to let you all know that I go for my next Surgeon visit on March 22nd. He will then submit my info for approval. I am ASSUMING that I will be approved & having my surgery in April. Again, this is just an assumption.I have seen in a few post on some other St. board's that this is not as bad as a gallbladder surgery. I am keeping my finger's crossed that it's not. I came thru that so easy & it wasn't done Lap. I have had a few abdominal surgeries, but not in the area that my RNY will be done. PLEASE say some Prayers for me. I am a little scared of this surgery, not of the surgery I guess, I just have a fear of being put to sleep. To all the new folk's on here, Keep on, most of us has been thru the same thing you are going thru. Best of luck to you all.
Sara.

Hi Sara, great news. About being put to sleep, they start most people with gas and oxygen, before actually giving your the knock out drug. For me since I had had so many prior surgeries, I wasn't afraid of being put to sleep, even with my potassium problem and having leukemia. Dr. Colquitt put in a central line in my left shoulder (that hurt) the knock out Dr. was right there, the next thing I knew I was in my room 4 hours later, and walking 3 hours later. Which was a surprise as I have been confined to a electric wheelchair since Sept. 03. You will be fine when the time comes, trust me, I wouldn't steer you wrong. The whole state of TN is on this board at one time or another, so that's a lot of prayers going out for you. Just take a couple of deep breaths and take it one day at a time. Let's get you approved, remember this don't worry what you can't control, that's God's job, worry about what you can control. Much love, Kathy
