referrals to a PCP in ET
Hey there,
My PCP was so resistent to me having LapBand surgery that she said that she would no longer treat me if I had any complications. So, I have had a few complications and no PCP. Does anyone have any referrals to a PCP that is WLS friendly and knowledgeable in Loudon, Knox, Monroe or Blount counties?
Thanks,
CHris Ball

He is more able to help you. But he is lazy and you will have to talk to him about it several times. More like tell him about the wls and you will have to find the doctor to do the surgery on your own and do most of the leg work too. All you have to do is bring in the WLS doctor's name and number etc. and have them do the referrals. Do not let the nurses tell you that you do not need a referral to see a wls doctor. You do and things happen faster if you give the doctor the WlS doctor address and number etc. He will then make the nurses do their job in sending out the referrals. Make sure that you are approved for the surgery too. Because some insurance will approve the doctors..But not the surgery or they were only sent the referral to see the doctor and not the surgery. So make so you have everything togather. Other then that he is a good doctor. He just does not like referral and asking more of the insurance company if you are on Blue Cross/ Blue Sheilds of Tennessee Medicaid
Hey things will go slowly if you have that insurance, but most other insurances he react fast too.
He does not talk you out of WLS, Or you wanting it. He does listen to you and he does not refuse to treat you either.. Unless you cuss at him or treat the staff unfairly. Other than that he is a good doctor.
I hoped I helped you some.
Good Luck!
