Time for me to start talking

I have been reading the message boards for TN and KY for several months. Since September I have been seeing the nutritionist and getting my information together. I was approved origingally for surgery in Nov. but had to postpone until January. As a KY Retiree, I am insured through the state, and as you might guess, they changed insurance carriers on January 1, 2006. Then I had to deal with Humana which had more hoops to jump than the previous carrier. Now I've been postponed till February. I just hope and pray they get everything accepted this time. I will be having surgery at Vanderbilt with Dr. Richards. I live in Southern Kentucky and closer to Nashville than to Louisville. You all know how cautiously excited I am. I just pray and wait!! Thank you to all of you who have been on here the last few months when I couldn't talk about my situation. Thank you for sharing your individual problems that helped me so much. So, I am here now. I hope to be able to help someone else like you all have me. I go back on Feb. 3, 2006 to see where we are. I'm still praying!

Suzzie, I know all too well the "waiting game"...but it will all be over soon and you will be on the losing side. Hang in there and get to talking !! Billie

I'm glad you started talking about the same time I did! I am been researching for a long time and had to deal with one insurance that had exclusion for gastric bypass and finally my secondary insurance became the only insurance I had and it will cover. I hope to become a loser on Jan30. I am glad we can communicate with all the wonderful people on this board!
