question about liquids
Kathy,
You will be fine, just breathe
Drink as much water (water, you know is only those things with no caffiene and no calories) as you can, and in between have no more than 4 oz of the other stuff. Your pouch is still numb and kind of stupid for the first few weeks to months. You will not know how to tell when yuo're full so it is best to limit the food intake so you don't hurt yourself by overeating. When you move on to solids, do half the amount you do of liquids -- trust me on this.
As for the Unjury, I thought it was super nasty, too. I have been going through every protein on the market for the last 9 months trying to find one that doesn't gag me (anything thick -- like shakes gags me) or make me dump (for some reason, some forms of whey make me dump -- even without sugar in it, this is a whey sensitivity not a sugar issue). I found some awesome products that I have been telling everyone about, and since they do send out free samples on request, there is no money out of pocket to try them. They are from a company called Scitec Nutrition -- my faves are the IsoFruit Delite in cantaloupe flavor and the Protein Delite in strawberry white chocolate flavor. You can call for free samples (I think they only give 1 or 2, but still, it's free!) 1-888-scitec7. Because I have recommended this to so many people -- they are giving us a special deal, just mention hearing about it from me here on Obesityhelp and if you decide to order, you get free shipping and 15% off! I also found out you can get free samples of Nectar (I haven't tried it yet, but a lot of people have recommended it) by calling them and asking -- 1-866-333-7403. I really hope this helps you, as I know how hard those protein drinks are.

Hey Kathy,
How are things going for you? It's good to see you posting on the boards. I was told to try to sip at least 1 oz every 15 minutes which is 4 oz. per hour. I sis not measure and had trouble getting my fluids in. I was about a month out and started experiencing extremely bad headaches that would not go away. I posted on another board and I received several responses that I was dehydrated and needed fluids. I started drinking at that point
After a day or two I felt much better. Just sip as much as possible to stay hydrated. Based on the things you are eating and drinking they all count towards your fluid intake. Again...it's good to see you on the boards and I hope all is well!!!
Lisa
