Hello friends, I know I haven't posted for a while but I am writing to ask that you say a prayer for me. I have had an abnormal pap smear and I have to go tomorrow (Thursday, 1/19/06) to have a colposcopy and cervical biopsy done. I have been a nervous wreck since I found this out 3 weeks ago. I have heard the cervical biopsy can be pretty painful and I am worried about that because I am a wimp when it comes to pain. So I am asking all of you to please say a prayer for me, add me to your church prayer/healing lists, etc. I would appreciate it very much. I will keep you all posted of the results. Take care and God Bless. Your friend, Tammy

Tammy, My prayers are with you..I had a bad mamogram once and I know the fear you're feeling. Mine turned out well, and I hope yours does the same. Billie

Prayer's going up. Hey, I've been through Sparta like once in my life. I was raised on the mountain between Pikeville and Dayton. If your like me, the house will be spotless before your appointment and while waiting for the results. I get moving when I'm nervous and can't control anything. Beth B.

Thank you so much for thinking of me and remembering me in your prayers. I wasn't able to have the biopsy done today, they had to reschedule it for 1/30/06 (becuz I was bleeding). I just wanted to get it over with, now I have to worry for 2 more weeks. The nurse told me I have abnormal cells in the low range and I also have some in the high range. Please continue to pray for me. Thanks so much. Tammy

Tammy, This is the first time I have ever came into the Tn chat. It was meant to be for me to read your need. I am a Christian and had wls 2 yrs ago, I feel blessed and grateful. It is very normal to feel the apprehension you are feeling, I had a cervical biospy once, and I can't remember it being bad, just take some advil (Iburpofen) before the biospy, or ask the doctor for something to calm you and take away any discomfort/pain. I am a nurse LVN and one time I worked for a OB/GYN, so lots of gals have that procedure done, very common. I also had a abnormal pap result, and here it is about 18 yrs later and nothing else had ever ocurred from it. I hope the same for you. I have this saying by my computer and it helps me when I need uplifting and feel stressed: WORRY DOES NOT ROB TOMORROW OF ITS SORROW; IT ONLY ROBS TODAY OF ITS JOY. I will keep you in my prayers, and reach out to God for his comfort and understanding. God Bless Sincerely, Susan DeMendoza
