Dr. Hruska????

Did anyone here have Dr. Hruska @ Gateway? If so what did you do when she left? I am seeing Dr. Steely for the 1st time on Monday. I have not had a follow up for my band in months. I have complications and my insurance made arrangements for me to see him. Any comments or advice would be helpful. Missy, Kathy, & April, I have missed you guys!

Hey Christy! Long time no see! What's been going on? Is everything ok? Sorry I can't help you with the Dr. Hruska question. I'm having everything done in Nashville (hopefully). I just finished up my 6 month dr. supervised diet and my pcp is suppose to fax everything over to the Centennial Medical Center Treatment for Obesity. Don't be a stranger! *hugs* April

I had surgery with Dr.Hruska however mine was RNY and Ive just been following up with my PCP for the annual blood work and stuff. Sorry. *huggles*

Christy, I had Dr. Hruska too -- I misss her and Judy! To answer your question, I've not found a new doctor -- My local doctor has been taking care of me... yet has done awful with the blood tests, which I need to go have done next week. Anyhow, the local doctor said to not worry about finding a new WLS doctor until I either... A. Stop lossing weight. B. Need Hernia repair. C. Need tummy tuck. Hope things go well for you! -Katie

I saw her last on Sept 4th I do believe, she got me filled properly I had some minor problems with fills, she would put a fill in and when trying to get out the old fill I would have nothing coming out and then she would put some in and get nothing back out, found out that I had air in my band, I believe we got it worked out, I have had 3cc in my band since about May of 2005. But I am finding I need a small fill and I am going to see Dr. Steele on the 8th of Feb. I got my insurance to pay for it. I am going because I need a small fill, I don't want a whole cc so if he wants to give me one I am going to refuses at this time, because I can get right a 1cup of food but a lot of things get stuck and the last time Hruska went to 4cc's I hurt horrible and had to have it all removed and then went back to 3 and stayed there till now, plus I have a 5cc band I don't want to be totally filled right now. I am hoping for somewhere like .5 cc's Dr. Steele did my gallbladder surgery back in 2000 he was a good dr then and I haven't heard any thing bad about him.
