Somebody Please Help!!!!!
I had my surgery on 04/05/05. I had a lot of complications that I won't go into here... I have already had 6 surgeries and I know for sure that I have to have one more. I am having REALLY bad pains in my lower right abdomen area. I have already had my gall bladder taken out... and friend from work told me it could be my appendix. I am very nautious (sp) and I am vomitting. I do not have a fever though. Calling my surgeon all the time makes feel like I am bothering him. He sometimes acts that way too. What do I do???????

I agree, I would see someone else about this. I know from recent personal experience that doctors are not always right, and sometimes they do try and make you feel that nothing is wrong, when there most certainly is. I ended up in the ER in Nov. because I was listening to my pcp for months, I had to recieve four units of blood and the ER doc said that I was hours aways from going into shock. All of this happened under the "careful supervision" of my pcp. I would be even more careful since you have already had WLS as there is more potential for serious complications. Try seeing another doc for sure, you know your body better than anyone else!!!! I hope you can get this resolved quickly, take care, and let us know how your doing!!!

Hi Jennifer, I am not a dr. I just play at one. Doc Newton here says, have it checked. It could be your appendix, a hernia, or severe scar tissue, but a word of caution, if it's your appendix, and it ruptures, you only have 2 hours of life left. If you can't see your PCP or surgeon, go to the ER, vomitting can cause you to dehydrate real quick. I know, I spent two days in the hospital just before Thanksgiving. GET IT CHECKED, Me personally would go straight to the ER, they'll run the necessary tests, and will be in contact with your Dr. as to what to do, whether to admit you, or send you home. But if the pain is making you sick, time to head for the ER. Best of luck and hope you feel better real soon. Love, kathy
The Doc license is back in my cedar chest.
