LOOK OUT TN, here I come!!!

I will be there in just a few days, my pre-op is on 1/9 at Baptist Hosp. in Nashville!! and we plan on staying in TN till my surgery date of 1/16, plus we have to stay till 2 week check up on 1/30 or 31. SO, I guess I will be a 3+ week resident of your beautiful state!! I am so excited!! Hey, y'all around Gatlinburg, got any snow?? I was hoping to see the snow crossing the NC/TN Mt.s We will be crossing them on I-40. I miss snow, we don't get it much here in the Sand Hills of SC!! Well, I plan on visiting a couple of you in Nashville, and I'm packing to be on my way!! Here I COME!!! Patty *4 days to Nashville* **12 days till surgery**

Hey Patty! I'm from Nashville....hope you get to see some of the sights and sounds before surgery! Everyone I've spoken with loves this area. I work at a state park downtown and see a lot of people come through. If you need anything just give us a holler! Congratulations on your upcoming surgery date! *hugs* April

Hi Patty,I just wanted to say good luck with your surgery! I went to Nashville,went to the seminar,then had a consutation with Dr.Husted. I reallly liked him and had all the confidence in him. But my insurance with John Deere wouldn't let me have the surgery by him. They said the DS was still considered experimental,even though he's done a thousand. I called the Cumberland Obesity Clinic and they said they've been trying to get that "experimental" title removed but had not had any luck yet. So I just had to go ahead with RNY here in Kingsport. It's done good for me but I still to this day don't understand why I couldn't have it in Nashville. Insurance companies are a pain sometime. People on that board deciding my fate when they've never seen me or don't really know me. Good Luck and I pray everything goes well for you, Belinda

The weather service says chance of snow for Thursday night and Friday for Pigeon Forge. I wouldn't get my hopes up for snow in the mountains. Gatlinburg is fun so don't let no snow stop you from going. Good luck with your surgery. Mine is Tuesday. I'm past counting days. Now the goal is in sight. Mary P (Knoxville)

I am not sure at ober gatlinburg...they may have snow on the mountain...but I don't know.... my family is going up there next weekend...I wished I could say for sure.. :0) tina ps, welcome to TN!!!!

Hi Patty Welcome to Nashville! If you were going to be here by the 7th, I'd say "come on over to the Saturday Support Group for Drs. Husted & Spaw's patients." Whenever you get here, have a safe trip! I have my pre-op testing the day after your surgery. I may pop over and check with your hubby to see how you are doing. Susan, thank you for the invite, but I won't be getting in town till the 8th. And my cell phone # is listed on my surgery page and my husband is 2412 at the end. He is responsible for answering questions untill I feel a bit better. The first day or two after surgery I am kinda out of it, but I wake up real good after that!!
