I'm home
Hi everybody,
I DID IT!!!!!! Surgery was an hour and a half and I was up walking the evening of surgery. I was released from the hospital 48 hours after surgery. I have been so incredibly blessed with this whole process. I hardly used my pain pump; as I've hardly any pain. I've had no nasuea or sick feeling since before the surgery. I'm drinking about 50oz of liquid a day with no problem. I feel so incredibly guilty though. I guess I was expecting to have more problems/complications than I did. The doctor's and nurses are absolutely blown away with my progress. The only reason I think I've done so well, is all the
ing I did before, the walking on the treadmill, and doing everything the doctor told me to. The only draw backs I've experienced is the lack of energy level, and the fact that I'm not sleepy. I'm averaging 4-5 hours of sleep a night. I don't nap in the daytime, either. I know this will all change as soon as I can start eating pureed food, hopefully Friday.
Thank you all for your support and encouragment. It has really meant the world to me.
Take care,
Beth

Happy New Year Beth! That is GREAT to hear that you are are back home and doing well with your fluids. So there was not that much pain involved for you?? Wow. That gives me hope! hehehe. I hate to think about the pain involved. I am very glad for you and I hope you continue to have a good expereince with recovery. Keep us updated! Misty
Hi Misty,
I have been so lucky with not having any real pain. The biggest problem has been the pulling feeling I get at my incisions. I have had absolutely no problems what so ever. Last night was rough becasue I couldn't sleep and I'm constipated, but that's about it. I'm going to start walking on my treadmill today. Hopefully, that will help with both.
When is your surgery?
Take care,
Beth
