Hi everyone sorry I haven't posted in awhile with the past two months packed with holidays and doc app I haven't had an oppertunity to post. Hope all had a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. Well on to my question my doctor at the pain clinic put me on a Non Steriod anti Inflamatory drug and I have heard these are no-no's with wls? What about pre-op and how soon before surgery should I stop taking them if I should at all? The doctor knows I am waiting to have this surgery too. well thanks everyone and bye for now!!!

Shelley NSAIDS are a no no when it comes time for surgery. They thin out the blood. You will have to be off them between 1-2 weeks before you have surgery. Where are you on your journey? Mine is next Monday. I can't wait. Later Kathy

Nsaid's are a no-no prior to surgery and, per my surgeon. a no no from then on out. Same with aspirin products of any kind.
