Gastric Pacemaker????

Hey!!! Hope everyone is enjoying there Thanksgiving weekend. Did anyone else catch the news show on ABC on Friday night, I think it's 20/20, it starts at like nine. Anyway the whole show was about obesity. They interviewed one of the Judd's, and Carnie Wilson... they also had this piece about somthing called a gastric pacemaker. I guess it's like a heart pacemaker, but connects to your tummy instead. They don't really understand how it works, but it's doing a really good job in the clinical trials. People say that they have this full feeling after a few bites, and if they keep eating from there, they feel discomfort. The story was pretty interesting, I think they said the pacemaker is starting to go through the process of approvel, so it can be available to the public. Who know how long that will take, but at least someones out there trying to come up with help for the obese! Talk to ya all later, Jacqueline

Jacqueline, just think of the revolution of obesity when that pacemaker passes the FDA. It will probably cost more for a long time, and insurance companies may not pay for it. But if it does the job, that would be great for all. Hope you had a great holiday. Kathy
