What are u thankful for?

Hiya everybody, Hope every one is doing well. Kathy I am so sorry you are sick. Hope you get to feeling better soon. I was just wondering what everybody is thankful for. Here is my list: 1. God 2. My Family (especially my grandmother) 3. My Babies (10 kitties) 4. Having woke up this morning to find I've lost 200 pounds 5. Dr. Hruska for saving my life and giving me a second chance 6. Having had this surgery 7. Being able to do all the things I never could before 8. Having great friends on here 9. All my new friends since having surgery I could probably think of more but I'm still sleepy. Just got up a few minutes ago. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow. I will not celebrate until Sunday because I have to work (and some other family members have to work). So the family decided we would do it Sunday so we can all be together. That's what it's really about....being together with the ones you love. Julie -200 pounds lighter

Hi Julie. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving too. And I am very happy for you on our weight loss. Keep up the great work! I am thankful for: 1. GOD first and foremost. He wakes me up every day. 2. I am very thankful for my husband. We have been together 8 years and I am not sure where I would be without him and his support. 3. My family (especially my mom, grandma, and 6 yr old niece) 4. This website and everyone on it for coming into my life. It was at a time that I needed support and I am happy to have found everyone on here and I just hope I can contribute as much as I have received from everyone. 5. My job. I absolutely love my job and I am thankful for having and such an understanding company that would allow this surgery in their insurance plans. Not very many allow it. 6. Last but not least, I am thankful for having the ability to buy our first house this summer. It is the most wonderful thing to happen to me this year (so far). Well, that was more like an oscar speech. . Hopefully next year I will be able to be thankful for the surgery and getting my life back. Thanks! Misty

Julie, thank you. Can you believe 29 lbs of fluids gone. I'm thankful for God. You Julie for your inspiration. My family and friends My two sons, their wives and my 2 grandsons. That I am still alive. And a surgeon who believes in me. I am thankful for this site. It has really been a sorce of support, love, friendships, and prayers. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Formost I am thankful for my nephew. I truely believe everything happens for a reason and the reason I have raised him is so he could save me from myself. I went through several years after he was born thinking of doing things to myself that one should never think of. Yet because he was here and in my life I never followed through on them. As most of you know he is also the reason I even started looking at surgical weight loss procedures. I thank God everyday for bringing him in my life when he did. I am thankful to God for giving surgeons the ability and intellect to perform these and all procedures that they do. I am thankful that Dr.Hruska didn't see me as such a high risk patient that she wouldn't do this procedure for me. Because of her I and hundreds of others are on their ways to leading lives that have a lot more quality to them. I am thankful that God gave me the faith, trust and will power to go through with RNY and to continue on working on losing weight. My life hasn't been this wonderful since I was in junior high school. Finally I am thankful for my boyfriend. I truely believe he is my soulmate. He and I first dated when I was 15 and have broke up several times during the yrs due to our immaturity. Yet fate has always allowed our paths to cross and lead us back to each other more than once. He has always loved me no matter what my size and has always backed me 100% and then some in anything I have tried or wanted to do. I believe that fate has crossed our paths on final time because we are both at points in our lives where our relationship can truely blossom as it should.
