Just checking in..... I'm at wor****il 5:30 today and then I'm going out with my hubby...dinner and a movie Might do some xmas shopping while we're out. Since I'm still doing my dr. supervised diet... I'm saving up my calories until dinner. Hubby wants Olive Garden. He never went to Olive Garden until he met me, and now thats where he wants to go alllll the time.... I've created a monster! hehe Y'all have a great day! April

everyone, I'm sitting here in the office, wishing I was home ing in the or curled up on the couch with a blanket. It's beautiful outside, but I have a case of the s. I feel sure it's just allergies, brought on by the wonderful cool front. I do need . I have really bad allergies the first of the year. I'm curious as to what people take, after you've had surgery. My surgery is Jan. 3 and that's when I start catching bronchitus. What over the counter meds can anyone recommend? Thanks, and have a wonderful weekend, Beth

Beth, My doctor told me I can take pretty much any liquid cold medicine. She said the liquid Tylenols were a good choice or something like Nyquil or Dayquil. I have to be careful just because I have glaucoma and thyroid problems. But my doctors told me it would be ok on occassion to take. I can't take many pills because it is super hard for me to swallow them anymore. Doctor says it is fine now but I still can't do it. I do good to swallow my thyroid pill and birth control pill everyday. I'm not sure what you can take but I have found that Nyquil and Dayquil are working really well for me right now. They Nyquil really puts me to now. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery date. Keep us updated. You might ask your pharmacist or doctor what would be a good choice for you. Never hurts to have a professional opinion. Julie

Hi Julie thanks for doing the roll call. I just got home an hour ago from Nashville. Thirty five miles in bumper to bumper traffic. Used half a tank of gas just crawling. Apparently a tractor trailer was on fire around Crossville, and the traffic had been backed up the entire day. I just happen to get caught in it this evening. The good news when I got off the exit for gas I found an Exxon with reg. unleaded at 2.049 a gallon. That was great. I'm going to shortly. Took a bad fall and I am really feeling it after driving back home. Love ya, kathy

Hi Julie, Thanks for the advice. One of the ladies I work with suggested the same thing. I ended up taking Aleve Cold and Sinus and that seemed to help some. I will get some Nyquil today. Have a great day, Beth
