Yes early today i was told I'm approved for WLS I am so excited! but on the same page I'm worried too. but I've been waiting to hear this for awhile now. I think they will get me in soon at Vanderbilt. they just haven't gave me a date yet. has any one else went through the being so dam excited to what ifs. oh well i may have mixed emotions, but my legs are jumping for joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! an let me say all the thanks to my wife who has called the insurance people an been so persisant for me . without her this would have only been a dream. I love You Kim an thanks to all of you for being there. to read an get answers from. Thanks Tom
Tom, that is Great getting your approval. You will have to let me know how your vanderbilt experience is. I am going through them and plan on have WLS there as well. I have no doubt that you will experience all kinds of emotions between now and your date. Don't let that detour you from staying positive and on the right track. Know that this approval was meant for you. You would not have gotten approved if it was not meant to be. Everything happens for a reason. I wish you so much success and for you to be healthy soon. Your wife sounds like a wonderful supportive person. That is great. Good luck with your journey. You will do fine.

Congratulations! My surgeon is Dr. Willie Melvin. I had a surgery date a week after being approved. I can understand your excitement. I've walked around the last 10 days with my head in the clouds. It's really hard to stay focused.
Again, congratulations on becoming a looser, like the rest of us!
